A Sign of Getting Old

My parents came to visit this weekend. I’ve found that since leaving home all those years ago, the little things that my parents did that got on my nerves when I did live with them, still very much annoy me today but I guess they wouldn’t be them without their faults. We managed to pack alot of walking in today which was nice, visiting a favourite spot of mine Clarendon Palace ruins. Afterwards a nice meal was cooked by the Pine Martin which it would seem didn’t agree with poor dad who later spent the night thowing it back up. The Salisbury Poisoner strikes again.

I also have a theory that the older one gets the more oblivious you are to the things around you. This was proven this afternoon when we ventured out into town for a spot of lunch and accidently lost dad. After much argueing as to the best way to organise ourselves to conduct a sweep of the town centre, he was eventually found more than half an hour later in his own little world.

Despite the stress, I am happy they visited but all sadness of them leaving quickly disappeared when it came to making the evening meal and opening the fridge found the mushrooms were floating in milk!
