The Plan

Now that its starting to get a little lighter in the evenings and with the hectic goings on recently running me down a tad, its time to gear up the pace again and become fit and healthy once more and get back to enjoying the sport again as I find it so depressing running in the cold dark evenings. I really enjoy running in the summer when its light in the evening and one can make good use of the tracks and the open countryside but when the winter arrives and the nights get longer I don’t find it as much fun as I’m restricted to roads and paths. I still run regularly through the cold months to keep the momentum up but I totally lack in the enthusiasm department.

Bad news though, I’m still suffering from the fallout from last weeks plague and the-wife-to-be has confiscated my running gear until I pass a medical. How bad is that. The way I figure it, I only need one more dose of the foul Night Nurse and one more scary dream of six foot slugs chasing me down the street shouting “Give us your legs” before I’m better.
