Well it looks like theres a Eurovision party going down at Novemberfive Towers. Originally what started out as a “Wouldn’t it be nice if…” sort of thought has now been cast in stone and is going ahead. We’re working to recruit guests but this task is proving difficult as you can imagine the idea of watching terrible music isn’t terribly appealing and it looks to be another WTB colleague convention which I am grateful for as you can always rely on them. Thoughts now turn to dressing the flat in preparation. Not wanting to spend a great deal of money I decided to have a go myself at making the decorations and went on the hunt for cardboard. I knocked together a couple of large items and they turned out terrible but perseverance is the only way to gain confidence in being creative I guess.

As well as it being difficult to draw on due to the ridges in it, I find cardboard really unforgiving when it comes to correcting mistakes. As the majority of my artwork is digital there were times I longed for an Undo button. Despite this, cardboard is a material I would really like to master as its extremely versatile like potato waffles but more importantly its really very cheap. The photograph above is going to be part of the scoreboard. I am working on a cardboard Terry Wogan too complete with detachable wig to keep score.
