I was somewhat of a late starter on the old computer front as my parents couldn’t really see the need to get one, (surely if they ever needed a reason it would be to shut their little ginger kid up from asking for the ZX Spectrum James Bond pack all the time). I eventually got my way, becoming the proud owner of an Atari ST which made me rather unpopular at school as there was always this rivalry between the geeky Atari users and the cool kids with their Amigas. Anyway thats another story, I basically missed out on the whole Spectrum generation thing but managed to use my friends computers rather a lot instead so I guess I can still look back and appreciate them. A few years ago I invested (yes invested, as I believe these babies will gain in value over time despite what the wife-to-be says) in a number of retro consoles of which I had great fun in playing on again as they brought back many happy weekend memories of doing battle with friends - “FINISH HIM!”
