Now Then, Now Then

I’ve been wanting to do a little photography project like this for a while now. Last year I purchased a couple of books containing old photographs of Salisbury and thought it would be good to recreate a few of them. Back in the day Salisbury was home to only a couple of photographers and I found it strange that around a hundred years on I was standing in exactly the same place taking a photograph of the same buildings as those few photographers did all that time ago. I’m slowly working my way through the photographs I took today but here are a few that I’ve managed to finish.

The Poultry Cross (1935 and 2006)

The Guildhall (1893 and 2006)

The Library (1906 and 2006)

The Post Office (1912 and 2006)
