The Russell-Cotes Museum

Today we met my mum off a bus at Bournemouth which had made its way down from Grantham. She must had really wanted to see us before the wedding to sit on a bus full of blue rinse pensioners for all that time. After our traditional fish and chips we visited The Russell-Cotes Museum which was the house of the Russell-Cotes, an excentric Victorian couple who travelled the world on a massive spending spree. Its a wonderfully odd place, the sort of house I could picture myself living in had I been a wealthy crazy Victorian.

I took a few photographs of the house and its contents, including the fountain in the hallway. You can view them in the Flickr album here. Enjoy.
