What an excellent weekend its been. First up was the power kiting. There was little wind after they bussed us out to the top of one of their hills but once the huge kites were released, the bigger ones were a real struggle at times to control but fun non the less as little old wrestled with it whilst trying a few tricks. I’ve never known kite flying to be so energetic. Next was the archery. Took a while to get use to it. The best man was so confident that I wouldn’t hit anything he was even pinning money to the target sating I could keep it if I hit it. After a short practice things improved and came third overall in the competition we had at the end. I now have a huge bruise on my arm as a result.

The camping experience went ok, I had too much to drink to care whether stuff was getting wet etc. After a morning of vomiting and breakfast at the pub we were on for another day of action.

The caving was excellent though I did notice the tunnels and caverns we crawled through did honk a little of beer which I think was down to us sweating out the night before and not some geological phenomenon.
Climbing was scary for me as I knew it would be. Peering our a sheer drop whilst hungover is not the best feeling in the world. Unfortunately ducked out of the abseil down but managed a bit of a climb or two followed by decents, so all was not lost I guess. I would love to do it again just to gain a bit of confidence.

I imagine eBay’s going to have a run on power kites and archery sets.
