Flood and Mud

After working the morning on one of my sites we took the bikes out to blow away the cobwebs. I say cobwebs, what I really mean is the wifes got a hangover and would rather vomit outside rather than in. Anyway, we also decided to complete one of the few remaining geocaches we’ve yet to do in the area only this ones in an area of woodland where you’re going to get muddy at the best of times.

We’ve had some pretty strong winds lately, stronger than any of my chilli induced parps topped off with such a lot of rain. So much so the rivers we crossed today were all scarily high with many having burst their banks. Even some of the houses which backed on the the river had lost their back gardens.

We had great deal of fun trying to navigate our way through the waterlogged pathways. I think this is the closest one gets to off roading in Salisbury.

Despite all the water and mud we made it to our destination, in one of the few fields that wasn’t waterlogged and found the cache without too much trouble.
