Off to Avebury today to get all spiritual down at the stones. It always amazes me how people can quite easily buy into crap like that, today was no exception. Despite the grotty weather there were still a few hippies wondering round with their eyes closed feeling the imaginery vibe. At one point I had to pause whilst eating in astonishment.

Everytime we visit I always stop to admire the three ‘wishing’ trees on the outer rim. They have the most interest roots running over the ground, unfortunately too big to capture in one photograph.

All around the branches hippies had tied tat to the branches as its believed that these are magical wishing trees. There were two grubbies walking round them with their kid singing and rolling a fag. Anyway not only were the branches decorated but the trunks were too, some with crystals wedged in their crevices others with coins.

There was one little something that someone had hung which I think was best left alone. Dog shit surprise anyone?

After a couple of laps round the stones I drove us home which was all very exciting. After a few proper lessons and this drive home I’m starting to relax a little whilst behind the wheel. Next week I’m perfecting the leaning one elbow out the window and maybe indulge in a spot of car surfing.
