Thanks Claire for a super site showing off the many interesting sites of Swindonia. I particulary like the low bridge.

With a headroom of only 6′, the famed “Low Bridge of Swindon” is truly the lowest of low bridges anywhere in the home counties. An attempt by Chippenham to beat Swindon’s record by raising the roadway beneath their bridge has been disqualified by the Wessex Low Bridge Society.

Two of those are actually real, Jasper once told me that people thought he’d made up the Magic Roundabout.
The statue of Lola Vavavoom is real, but is actually at Shaw Ridge cinema and is considerably smaller (it’s Diana Dors I think).
