All Dressed Up and No Where to Go

The Wilton Horse Trials were due to take place this week and St Johns were down to provide the first aid cover. It was my turn today and an early start was requested. Unfortunately after dragging my old bones out of bed, got suited and booted and headed off to HQ I learnt it was canceled due to the rain and the condition of the ground. Shame really as when I was last up at Wilton House first aiding the sponsored walk I got a tour of the course and there were some scarily steep slopes which the horses have to be thrown down which would have been good to watch but at least I get an extra day to my weekend now which is nice.

Walking back though city early this morning it was so peaceful as there was no one around at all. As I make it a habit to carry a camera round with me at all times I set it up at a few places on my route home and managed to take a few interesting shots.

This one is of the Salisbury Arts Centre just down the road from me which incidentally displays work by local artists inside for all to see. I wonder if they’ll display any Geek paintings? You can learn more of the Arts Centre’s history here.

Its a real shame that just as I am getting into the whole photographic thing again and using Flickr to store my photographs as well as interact with other photographers they go and impose a restriction on my free account. I’m very reluctant to pay the $24.95 annual fee which would give me a non restricted account. I’m sure theres ways around it, drop me an email if you have any suggestions.
