Myspace

Not that many of us care anymore about the whole Myspace thing but I’ve revamped the old template and have almost come to the end of the road when it comes to my designing capabilites with these heavy code restricted profiles. You can see it here. I finally got over the problem of embedding a stand alone player (the one provided by Myspace had a habit of moving when the browser window was resized) which allows me to incorporate it into the design which is a nice feature.

Its all happening over on Facebook these days. I must admit I was a late starter with this one but am amazed at how useful its been in tracking down old school friends and getting in touch with them after so many years of radio silence. One thing that does bug me about this one is why people feel the need to fill their profile with pointless shitty little applications that take such an annoyingly long time to scroll through before you get to the place you want to be, ie their message wall. Saying that though I would like to have a go at designing some application for the Book of Face but I don’t have the programming knowledge to do such a thing but its all about the idea. Just coming up with a concept and patenting it before anyone else could act as a little earner these days.

Now if a site could be developed that incorporated all these social network sites in one (I remember seeing something along these lines a few years ago but have failed to find it again) that would be a useful thing.
