Wilton 10km

This morning saw me run the British Heart Foundation 10km cross country run at Wilton. This is a run i had been looking forward to a great deal as I find the grounds of Wilton extremely pretty and always thought it would be a good place to explore. The run comprised of a 5km circuit which was completed twice, taking you into parts of the estate not usually open to the public including the long steep bank which we had to clamber up - luckily last weekend gave me some much needed practice in these situations.

One the first lap of the circuit I was 5th but the hill on the second time round cost me two positions and I ended up coming 7th overall. My time was 47m 39s which isn’t bad considering I’m bunged up with cold at the minute.

If I continue at this rate I’ll hopefully keep up with Flipper and build a cabinet to house all these medals the wife and I are aquiring.
