I am currently reading the developers guide over at the iGoogle site. Not so long ago I wrote about virtual desktops but Google have out done themselves with this one. Its beautifully put together and theres a really useful developers guide to accompany it - perfect for designers wanting to tackle something a little different.

Last month there was a really interesting article about designing widgets for the Mac, from what I can gather so far its the same sort of principle with iGoogle all running off a cleverly constructed XML file behind the scenes. I’m going to start off by learning the basics with this thing and see how it goes. I don’t think it’ll take me that long which is just as well as I feel this is the way the internet is rapidly heading at the moment (even the BBC has recently opted for this approach) and I want a piece of it!
