I have had one of the most productive weekends ever. Theres been a painting marathon these past few days as myself and a few very generous friends attacked the rooms of the new house. Many many hours later and a paint fume headache from hell, they’re finished I’m very relieved to say, leaving us time to organise our things and have a tinker in the garden.

Today the Highway Cycling Group paid us a visit and much fun was had by all. We found a fully functioning petrol mower in the workshop and put it to very good use sorting out the lawn. We have a gorgeous pine at the end of our garden and once those pine cones get under the mower, take cover is my advise as they shhot out like a bullet from a gun.

The cycling group also dabbles in a bit of home grown vegetables and as it was clear our house was going to take a long time to complete, extra veg was started off at HCG hq. This was then bought over and plumbed in marking the start of a more sustainable way of living the Pine Martin and I are working towards.
