I have had this plant for 10 and a half years now and I’m always amazed at how long these bargain bin supermarket plants actually last for. This particular one was bought in my freshers week at Bangor University and has stuck with me ever since. I was trying to get a little creative with it by trying to rotate it every so often so that it would grow in a spiral but it all went to pot as other university activities got in the way like drinking and finding a future wife. As a result, every year at university is represented by a rather lame bend in its stem and I’ve carried on the tradition as I’ve moved round the country creating this rather interesting looking plant, with each bend representing a place where I’ve lived.

As I’m moving on again its time to put the plant in a different position to get it growing in a new direction.
