Down At The Bottom Of The Garden

Quite a bit has been happening recently down at the bottom of the estate. First off we’ve managed to pull up the wonky patio thing which the previous owners had going on and we’re developing it into a huge raised bed lined with some rather nice railway sleepers. Unfortunately, the soil is extremely poor and contains a great deal of rubbish (its as if some time in the 1980’s someone had a lot of nails, glass and concrete to hide quickly). We’re having to sieve it as a result and if you look hard enough you can see in the background the mountain of rubble we’ve pulled out complete with slabs of concrete!

We’re also gearing up for chickens. Next door very kindly donated an old chicken run of thiers and I’ve made attempts to tidy it up a little by giving it a lick of paint. Now all we need are some chucks which we hope are coming in a few weeks time.

As mentioned in my previous post, its harvest time here and I find it rather exciting to have big old machines rumbling passed the end of the garden. This was shot standing in the middle of my raised bed pictured above.

In my long and interesting life I have watched and listened to many items of agricultural machinery and I can honestly say that I never heard a combine or any other item of agricultural impedimenta that sounded like that! Get you act together boy and work on the sound effects!

Looks like you guys have been busy. Great view from the end of your garden and I actually quite like the sound effects in the video!
