South Devon Railway

The annual birthday steam train ride was on the South Devon Railway from Totnes to Buckfastleigh and back again.

Whilst in Buckfastleigh we called in to the Buckfast Abbey after a short ride on an old London Routemaster. Its here the monks make that traditional Scottish tramp juice and we just couldn’t leave without purchasing a bottle from the gift shop which even came in its own paper bag. We’re off later to hang out at the local bus stop to get smashed. I forget the statistic but its well over three quarters of whats produced here at the abbey gets shipped across the Scottish border!
