The cards which will accompany my recycled badges in the Etsy shop arrived today. I recently had the idea that the badges would look better presented if mounted on card resembling an item of clothing. I took a few shots of different coats and settled on the trusted denim jacket, mainly for the reason that you can photograph any part of a denim jacket and it’ll still be easily identified as denim. Heres what they look like:

If you’re interested, the denim jacket can be downloaded from my Flickr account here.
Whenever I’ve purchased homemade from the Etsy site my item has always arrived with with a little something included for free as a way of saying thank you - my latest free gift was a little pin badge which was rather cute I thought. I think it would be a good idea to adopt a similar approach and have been experimenting with little thank you gifts. Tonight’s attempt was to make little matchbook notebooks out of scrap paper and card. It took a couple of attempts to get the size right but I don’t think they look too bad. I even got out the printing set to customise them with lettering.

These are really simple to make and a great way of recycling scrap paper. I’ll post a little How To in a short while in an attempt to encourage more people to have a go.
