Destroy My Porch 2009

Today I assisted the Highway Cycling Group bring down their porch at their HQ. This was an old construction which had seen better days but despite this, it actually required a lot of effort to take down. We had to step up the tea consumption but after some careful planning and chipping away we had one corner support left standing and holding up the heavy metal roof. One confident swing of the sledge hammer saw the roof finally come crashing down and a Ghost Orchid making good use of his fast reflexes, dive for cover. Job done. More photographs can be seen here.

There were areas which were rather rotten but I managed to come away with some decent planks which were later made into a gate for the planned wood store at the back of my workshop.
