Last week I sent a couple of postcards to Australia as part of the Post Crossing project. Well 16,561kms later one arrives safely at its destination. The site gives the reciprient the opportunity to drop a short message back to the sender. This is what was waiting for me in my inbox this morning:
“Hello Jez. Thank you for your fantastic postcard. I really loved the adventure it had since been on the shelf.AH! Jez are you a writer? If so I would love to read some more of your stories. I am sure that would be a fun read.”
I am by no means a writer, in fact I’m rather embarressed at times as its far from being one of my strong points. The main reason behind joining Post Crossing was to force myself to write more and to hopefully gain confidence when it comes to putting things on public display. This kind comment has really made my day. Thank you!
