Nearly There

Well the due date is nearly here, just one more sleep left though we have our suspicions that the babys going to keep us waiting for a while yet.

The recent run up hasn’t been without its events though. Friday evening saw me bump my head badly on the side of a bookcase. Rubbing it better I carried on through the evening fine but then feeling like I was extremely drunk in the middle of the night and throwing up in our nice new bathroom as a result. Having slept through literally the whole of Saturday before feeling fine on the Sunday I felt a little drowsy and headachy at work on Monday. So off the the hosital I went.

The time spent in waiting rooms in any A&E department is a torturous one. Luckily it was a week day - its rather like being on the film set of Thriller over the weekends as chavs start imprinting their Elizabeth Duke finest into each others heads. Still my visit wasn’t without its challenges as I had to suffer a crowd of squaddies and young cadets attempting to read a tabloid newspaper in a bid to combat the boredom. Not to worry I thought, the info screen tells me its only an hours wait so its not a problem. On thinking this, I see blue lights flashing as two vehicles drive past the window at high speed. Five minutes later, the info screen is showing three hours. Best bed in. Luckily the headache wasn’t too bad as to prevent me from reading my book and the time passed quickly as bored camouflaged waiting room residents clock watched.

When I made it though the other side I was extremely well looked after and it appears that your author does indeed have a brain - one which is still in good working order. I’m just to take it easy and not think of anything too strenuous. Lets hope Button isn’t as accident prone as his dad!
