Today I took a trip to 1957 and picked up this modern little box of photographic wonderment in the form of a Model C Box Brownie by “You Press the Button, We Do the Rest” Kodak and I absolutely love it.

I love looking at life through the speckled view finders. It gets one thinking about all the interesting things and people my little Box Brownie has been pointed at over its 50 year life and what the small view finders have framed. The whole thing has a number of small bumps and scrapes, so its obviously well used.

This is the best £4.50 one has spent in a long time but it doesn’t stop there. I would love to get this Brownie up and running again but with a twist - making it digital by merging it with one of my cheap digital cameras. The thought of taking it out and about, framing my subject in the dusty view finders and actually taking a digital photograph a rather exciting one.
