So that was 2009 - Blink and you miss it!

I can’t believe how quickly this year has passed, I’m sure these years pass quicker each time.

It has been a really good year for us. First and most importantly 2009 saw the arrival of our son, Charlie who is still making sure we remain devoted members of the 3am club. We had a bit of a bumpy start like all first time parents encounter but we’re well on the way now and really enjoying family life. Little Charlie is going to develop so much during 2010 and I’m so looking forward to seeing it all happen.

In other news, it would appear that the resolution I make every year has finally been ticked off the list. That goal involved the selling of some of my artwork and like most resolutions it was never accomplished. However this year I actually thought about a sensible route to take and starting off small, managed to involve myself with a few really friendly and inspiring art communities. Then slowly but surely I managed to make a handful of small sales which has boosted my confidence no end. I also made a couple of great friends along the way too, all of a sudden the world seems a great deal friendlier and its a nice feeling.

I’m not sure what goals to set in 2010, I don’t think pouting in every photograph taken of me, Blue Steel style counts as a serious resolution. I think the obvious one would be to pick a way to record Charlie’s year and see it through to this time next year. I’m toying with ideas of either a photographic project to go with the hand written journal we’re keeping for him or making regular audio recordings of him. I also have a number of other creative ideas brewing in this head of mine but will obviously write about them later should or when they take shape.

Heres wishing all my blog readers a great 2010. I’ll see you on the other side.
