Flashy Bags

I’ve been working on a few bag designs recently and hit upon a nice idea to light up even the simplest of tote bags. I love the tote bag, its such a simple bag that can be used to create some pretty creative designs.

My idea involves sewing one side of the bag with a fine copper wire which when connected to a small battery will allow a current to flow through the bag. If poppers are then sewn at various points along the copper wires you would then be able to clip things to the bag’s side which will use the power for whatever purpose.

What I think would work really well are felt flowers which house small LEDs. On the rear of each flower would be corresponding poppers which will allow the flowers to be fixed to the side of the bag and lighting the LEDs as a result. The flowers can then be arranged in any position providing theres poppers available.

I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult to get the flowers flashing or make flowers with different features like flashing lights of varying colours or even a radio. You then select what flowers/features you want and then head out to start your day.
