The First Market Of The Year

From taking part in the country markets last year I have learnt a great deal about selling the things you make as well as getting to know some lovely friendly people from the village and beyond. For the markets this year I wanted to give my little stall a great deal of thought and for the first market of 2012 opted to produce smaller, lower priced items.

I also took a selection of paintings that I made over Christmas and had them made into postcards which when packaged up looked rather smart. I still see all the imperfections when I look at the cards but that’s only because I’ve examined them for far too long whilst hunched over the drawing board with my pens.

I was really touched by the feedback I received from people passing by the table and I’m pleased to say that all my packs sold…as did other lines too.

It was nice to get back into the swing of things after the markets took a break over the Christmas and New Year period. It has left me very much looking forward to the next one.
